OH, sorry, missed that post! Happy Birthday! I've been reading the Hackwith novels. Really good! And especially interesting because I was reading E M Forster's "Aspects of the Novel" at the same time. His comments about characters are things that I had thought for a very long time. He observed that the difference between a character and a person is that the author knows or can know everything about a character, whereas no-one ever knows anything for sure about another person. Which obviously is highly relevant to Hero...
