Oh, but revivification didn't exist before the Interregnum, right? And IIRC, teleportation wasn't common the way it is now. Both of those were presented in the early books as "things we can do now because there's so much more magic in the world" but maybe it's not that (or at least not entirely that), it's part of the overall loosening up of the restrictions on Dragaeran innovation.
