Like I fully admit: I can't judge this one at all as I've not seen it, so I dunno where I'd fall on either the rape OR the suicide/etc OR anything else.
It just leaves me as a watcher not at all sure that I'm willing to theorize deeply on Whether Q's Death Is Terrible Because Tropes given that people made the same arguments about the plot-element of the rape.
(I am always, mind, sympathetic to "show I love just did something I hate and I hate it and it's upsetting because this is not what I WANTED" - fuck knows that happens to me often enough.
