Feeling creative on a Monday
"Candle in the Dark" is now up at fanfiction.net and I've also added a new (very short, very silly) story called Planet of the Elvii. And now I have two (at least) long stories that demand my attention and I intend to try not to get sucked into anything else for a while so I can work on them! (But we all know how the best-laid plans tend to go.)
Fanfiction.net has certainly been an exercise in frustration lately. *sigh* I miss the OLD ff.net, circa 2002, the one with no bells and whistles, where document upload actually *worked* every time (I tried to upload "Candle" six times this morning before giving up and resorting to the "upload as plain text, then paste HTML into the story editor" trick) and any special formatting that you put in there would stay in there. I know, I know -- everybody complains about ff.net, it's a free place, it's huge and subject to all the inherent problems that a big open-to-the-public website tends to experience ... but, darn it, I just want the dang thing to WORK. Livejournal is huge and public and designed for user data entry, and IT works.
On a slightly different note ... five days until the premiere ... and me without cable (and no way, really, to get it, being outside the coverage area). Still trying to figure out how to deal with that ...
