Oh I think he spent most of his life as the most amazing subordinate and later on boss you could ever have: charismatic, supportive, likeable, charming, GOOD at everything he did, and good at making what you want to happen actually happen. I mean the man did get nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and had a long, apparently successful diplomatic career.

He HAD to be amazingly likeable and bright and young and appealing.
