Apparently it's one of the ideas he's been wanting to do for a while but has had trouble selling to TPTB, like the "day off" episode. Of course, considering how THAT one turned out, maybe we shouldn't be so eager! Still, I love road trip fic too, and I really hope he gets to do it in season 5.
