I have now watched the John and Rodney scene a number of times. :D I love how awkward they both are, and yet how well they understand each other. With Teyla in Sateda, she filled in what John meant to say (but couldn't), and it was adorable ... but with Rodney, the filling-in-the-gaps isn't even necessary; they both just know.
(And Rodney walks into his room without knocking, as in "Miller's Crossing." This is definitely a habit, it seems.)
