You have taught me something new today!! And it's actually incredibly inspiring - I've always felt like one of the reasons I'm "bad at drawing" is that I can't draw as much as a potato from memory (and I'm Swedish, so I've had a lot of potatoes). But if this isn't something "good" artists automatically know how to do, it makes the idea of practicing until you're good at copying feel more like I'd be drawing for real instead of "cheating".
