You're really not missing much with the show, at least IMHO. I watched a couple of episodes, but it's just ... it's not them -- TV Harry is smarmier, and TV Murphy is bitchier, and I was actually worried that watching the TV show would damage my squee for the books, so I quit. However, some people really like it, apparently...
