You are exceedingly gracious, generous and thoughtful. Truly, much, much more so than this tiny canonical thorn should claim!

Assigning Duncan a Calvinist upbringing is not uncommon in HL fanfic. Repeated exposure is how I developed a peeve about it -- as a history buff and canon junkie, beside and beyond faith identification.

"Solstice Child" is a highly satisfying story. It is too gentle and subtle to call outright "charming," but it delights with its soft, light, sleepy comfort.
