Ha! Yes, certainly. And I think it's interesting that the race/gender issues in SPN bother me so much more than those in the Stargateverse -- obviously I am not denying that the Stargateverse and SGA in particular have whole rafts of issues, but the way that SPN deals with its own is much more offensive to me, and more difficult for me, personally, to watch and to write my way around in fic.
As much as I loved the first 14 episodes of Firefly, I have not been able to watch them again after watching the movie ... I don't want to get to the point with SPN where I can't go back and rewatch the episodes that I really loved because of what came after.
