I am totally gone for Buckell right now -- I had trouble getting into the first third or so of Crystal Rain (it's got a definite "first novel" feeling to it) but the world-building is so awesome that I ended up falling head over heels in the end. I am a huge fan of genre fusion if it's done well, and his steampunk sci-fi is just about perfect.
