The degree to which Londo doesn't hesitate under fire isn't even breathtaking in the moment because nothing feels more natural. Of course he goes straight for G'Kar with his world falling down around his ears. Who else?
YES. It feels perfectly natural because what else would he do? And yet, just a season or so ago, he wouldn't even think of doing it unless circumstances conspired exactly right. I could see it happening. I don't know if I could see Londo instantly and without question turning to that option first and foremost.
I also think that up until this point, G'Kar had thought of himself as by far the more physically capable of the two of them. Londo defending him from the Centauri guards shook him a little and impressed him, but it was also within his mental framework of how they were supposed to work. But Londo physically rescuing him, picking him up and dragging to safety completely rewired him. He literally got swept off his feet.
