Oh, that's right!! I completely forgot about Fritz, and also, EvS's sister is presumably quite a bit younger given Fritz's age, so he must have had some responsibility for her as well. You're right, he *would* be good at it, and I think wateroverstone is also right that Biggles would be naturally good at cat-herding a bunch of kids, probably just thinking of them in the same general sense as the younger pilots he's familiar with.
